The goal of theClean Water Act is Ato restore and maintain the chemical, physical, and biologicalintegrity of the nation's waters. The Clean Water Act contains many programs that providea variety of voluntary incentives and tools, including financial assistance and technicalguidance, as well as regulatory authorities to address water pollution.
